Mud volcano is situated 80 km south-west off Baku within Caspian coastal area. It is a stand alone rise which basement diameter exceeds 2km. Its north-east and south-west slopes are dissected by deep ravines. Absolute height of mud volcano amounts to 47 m, its relative height above surrounding terrane amounts to 87m. Its top surface is severely dissected plateau with numerous clusters of active cones,gryphons and salses seeping gas, mud and muddy water with oil films.
